The Problem Is You Think You Shouldn't Have Any Problems!

Hi this is Coach Trish,
You know what your problem is? Your problem is you think you shouldn't have any problems! I heard that from Anthony Robbins the other day and I like that one. Because its true! Every time I get a problem, I get mad like, "why do I have this problem?" And then I thought about it . . . what am I expecting, not to have any problems? Little stuff too, you know there's little stuff and there's big stuff. One of the little things is I have been wanting to shoot videos outside for some time. The lighting is so much better. But my day times are very hectic. At night is when it's best for me because the house is very quiet and the kids are in bed. But my house is very dark and I get these very dark videos. So today I decided I'm going to go outside, and now it's windy and there goes the wind chime! Anyway,  I decided to go come outside and shoot some videos outside. And guess what? It's trash day! So I'm trying to shoot my videos and the trash truck is backing up, "beep, beep, beep" and then the recycling containers are super noisy, I hear the glass shattering as they dump the recycling containers in. So I turn the video off, wait for the trash to finish. I come back out and then guess what? I realize that my house is apparently in the flight path of some airport, I think its Gillespie Field is over there. And so there's airplanes going back and forth and helicopters, go figure! I live in a quiet house on the outskirts of town, you would think it would be very quiet out here. Not at all! Wind chimes, helicopters, trash trucks! I'm surprised I got through this video. So anyway, when the little things come up in life, just deal with them with a little sense of humor and move on. And when the big things come up, get help. Join a team, get a coach, bring on some friends, life is a team sport and you can move through the bigger things with your team. Ask For Help, Life Is A Team Sport!

My life tip for you today is, ask for and accept help. Now we hear that all the time, but the truth is, most of us hate to ask for help. But think about it, do you mind helping the people you care about? Do you mind helping your business partners? Do you mind helping people that are working on a project with you? No, and they don't mind helping you either! If you continue to refuse to ask for help, you're going to be very limited in the size of the endeavors you're going to be able to complete. When I put on my event LIFE 2013 last year, I got to a point, where I had been trying to do it all myself and all of a sudden I realized, I was trying to do something bigger than that! I was trying to do something bigger than my influence, bigger than my contacts, bigger than my reach, bigger than my abilities. And I was forced to ask for help. My friend Patrick Carney says, "Life is a team sport." Once I was forced to ask for help I realized I should have asked for help a long time ago. People were willing to help me. There were people who were willing to work on this project with me and you know what? Now I'm working on their projects with them. It's a win-win. They had my back, now I have their back. There's people that you've helped in the past who would love to help you in return. I am loving helping the people in return who helped me with that project. It was so important to me and I so needed their help and I am so ready to help them now. So there's people in your life who want to help you and there's people in your life who you want to help. So ask for and receive help, and then give help in return. Life is a team sport.

Do You Have False Attractions in New Relationships?

Hi this is Coach Trish,
Today I have for you, some relationship advice. Courtesy of Larry Michael from The Four Answers, who came and spoke at my mastermind today. He does relationships, well actually he does profiling of your personality and matches people and what kind of relationships they should be in and not just romantic, but work relationships and everything. But this issue I found specifically interesting, it was about romantic relationships. He said there was a certain type of person that can have great chemistry with someone who they're completely incompatible with. I have a good friend who I recognized in this pattern right away. Because it would just pain me to see her see somebody and fall in love, like quickly, within a couple of weeks, madly in love and then, you know, within 3 months it's falling apart again. And I would wonder, why does that happen? And his explanation was this, that you can have fabulous chemistry with someone who you're completely incompatible with. So if you notice this pattern in yourself, or if you know somebody that has this pattern. Where you just, all of a sudden, like right away, you're just madly in love with this person but there's red flags going off that you just tend to ignore. Step back for a moment and really talk to the person and see if you are compatible. Actually take some time. What he really suggested, was take time to talk to people that you aren't immediately attracted to and you'll see that the attraction might just blossom if they are somebody who you're compatible with. If you have this pattern, you have to do a little more searching. Cause we usually go for the superficial, it's the easiest thing at first right? Somebody you're attracted to, there you go. But if that's your pattern, it's something you want to watch out for.

I Am Human and I Overcome Fears Everyday

Hi this is Coach Trish and I Am Human. 
A Human Project is all about bringing the humanity back into business. so I'm going to share a little secret about myself. One of the things I teach on is overcoming fear and guess what? I'm scared out of my mind all the time! But I work on it daily. I'm scared to do things, I do them anyway. My big event, back in November, that was probably one of the scariest things I have ever done. I asked all these big names to come and speak at the event and at first I was scared they would say no. But I asked anyway. . . . . and they said yes. Then I was scared that I wouldn't be able to, you know, negotiate the hotel, get the sound equipment and get everything that, you need to have to put on an event . . . . and people helped me and I did it. Then all of a sudden the event was coming up and I didn't have anybody coming! So I was scared to death that nobody was going to show up for all these wonderful speakers that I had. But you know what? Again, I reached out for help, I worked on it every single day and it worked. It came to be. So just face the fear and get over it. Whatever it is that you need to get over, face it and move on. I just thought I'd share that with you. Just because I teach on overcoming fear does not mean that I don't have any fears. And probably most of the other people you know too whatever they teach on, the reason they teach on it is because it's something that they personally battle with on a daily basis or they have battled with it in the past.

Are You Taking Care of You? How's Your Self Care?

Hi this is Coach Trish,
I have a question for you today. Are you really taking care of yourself? Because so many of us, especially women, tend to put ourselves last. We take care of every else first and then ourselves. And you think you're doing a good job, but you know what? You would be doing a so much better job if you were taking care of yourself. You would be cheerier, you would be happier, you would actually be able to handle more. The reason this is on my mind is I was recently working with my coach, Ken Foster and he asked me, what was I doing that I just love to do, just for fun. And I couldn't think of a thing! That's pretty scary. Now, I do love what I do, but that's different than just doing something for fun, right? And I love that I love what I do, don't get me wrong but I love rollerblading. And I haven't been rollerblading in months. So he gave me a homework assignment and I'm going to give this one to you too. Write down 25 things that you love to do, just for fun, just for you, 25 things. Make a big list and then do at least 3 of them a week. What do you say? 3 in a week, does that sound too crazy, too much, too out there? To do 3 things in  a week, in 7 days, just 3 for yourself? Well I went rollerblading today, on my way home from my mastermind and I feel soooooo good. I'm in a better mood and I'm gonna have a great day. So do something for yourself, today.

Focus, Think and Grow Rich, Back to the Basics!

Today in my mastermind we had a young guest. He was about 20 years old and he was in the middle of reading Think and Grow Rich for the first time. I started thinking about that book and I thought, isn't it amazing that a book written 70 years ago could be as timely today as it was when it was written? And the principles in that book are what started the whole self-development industry, basically. One of the big things in there is focus. Focus, focus, focus. You become what you think about, right? You become what you focus on. Napoleon Hill talks about writing down your major definite purpose and repeating it to yourself out loud daily. I'm going to go back and reread that book. Because it's so easy to lose focus. Are you on focus? Are you on point for your major definite purpose, your life's work, your life's goal? Or have you gotten sidetracked? It's so easy to get sidetracked. I've got 2 kids, I've got a husband, I've got 3 businesses. It's really easy to get sidetracked but I'm going to get back to my major definite purpose and write it out and start repeating it to myself every day. Time to get back on focus. What's The Best Way To Do Something?

Hi this is Coach Trish,
Oh my gosh, I've been shooting my videos during the day, well like 5 days ago I shot 2 videos outside and the lighting was so much better! And now I'm back to shooting them at night. I was sick for a couple of days, completely missed a couple of days and I'm looking at these videos and they look so dark! So that brings me to my life tip for today: Is there something that you've been doing, and you're doing it a particular way because it's convenient but maybe it isn't the best way to do that thing? For example, me shooting my videos at night. I shoot them at night because it's the quietest time in the house. Nobody's yelling, "Mom will you make me spaghetti? Mom fix the TV." But the lighting. . . . way better during the day, so I am going to have to find a time to shoot during the day. What might you be doing out of convenience a particular way, when it might be a higher quality, better result, if you took some time to do it a different way. Think about it.  And always remember, YOU ARE POWERFUL!

Negative Law of Attraction, or Using Law of Attraction Backwards

Hi this is Coach Trish,
My life tip for today is about negative law of attraction. Cause law of attraction work in both ways right? Positive and negative. And one of the things that really helps the law of attraction to work is if you have strong feelings. The stronger the feelings, the stronger the emotions, the faster its going to draw towards you the thing that you're thinking about. So the key is to think about something, visualize it, get that feeling of having it, right. Well the same thing can happen on the negative.
 About 2 years ago I was on my way somewhere that I didn't want to go and I was mad! I was seriously ticked off, I was seething. And I was driving there and I was like "I don't want to go here, this person's making me go and I don't want to go" and I was so mad. I was so mad I wanted to hit somebody and then I did! I crashed my car. And I really liked that car. But I tell you, looking back on it, that was no coincidence! That was exactly how I felt. I just felt like smashing into somebody, I was so mad, and then I did. So, check yourself, if you're feeling very angry or very upset about something, check yourself, or maybe stay home! No but seriously, check yourself, see if you can get yourself into a different state. Think about something else. Release it, let it go, because you don't want to bring more of that into your life!

How To Run a Master Mind Session, The Power of MasterMinding

The subject of today's life tip is masterminding. I just got home from my mastermind today, and it was spectacular! I have to tell you, there is nothing like the power of a bunch of minds coming together to work on the same thing. And it doesn't have to be an official mastermind. If you're working on a project or you have a friend or relative who's working on a project, form a mastermind, even if it's just for one time. And here's what you do; the person who's working on the project gives an overview, very short, 5 to 15 minutes on what they're trying to do, what they've done so far, what they're trying to accomplish. Then you quickly ask, "Are there any clarifying questions?" And then that person zips their lips, no talking. Then the other people have 30 minutes to give them ideas. So for 30 minutes, you just bounce ideas off each other, and if you want to have one person be the person that'll say who speaks when, that will make it so it's not complete chaos and that is helpful. But you just have everybody throw out ideas and you won't believe what happens. At first the ideas will seem relatively normal, run of the mill and then somebody will throw in something that's out of the box and that will spark an idea in somebody else's head that's out of the box and that will spark another idea. And pretty soon you've gone in a totally different direction and you have ideas and plans and possibilities that you never would have imagined. So mastermind. Any project you've got going on, grab a group of friends, it can even be 2 people, just as long as it's more than one. The more the better I'd say up to 10, but you can absolutely do it with just 2, and then you can participate.

You Are Either Wining or You Are Learning, there is no fail!

Hi this is Coach Trish,
My life tip for today is something I learned in my mastermind. You're either winning or you're learning. And that's the way we look at everything that doesn't go exactly as we had wanted, right? A lot of times we tend to look at those things as failures. But not so! If you tried something, that was brave, that was courageous, that was stepping out there. That's not a failure no matter how it went. And if it didn't go the way you wanted it to go, you definitely learned something. It reminds me of when I was a kid, I had a pony, and it threw me off and ran over me. Well, that felt like a big failure at the time. I was hurt for a long time, I didn't get back on that pony for a month! But when I did, I was sooo much a better rider! I was more careful, I paid more attention, I held on a little tighter to the reigns, I just directed the horse a little bit better. It really did make me better, I was learning. So there you go. If something doesn't go exactly as you wanted, don't be upset, look for the lesson in it and how can you do better next time.
