Hi this is Coach Trish,
Today's life tip is number 7 in my 10 part series on how to improve your career, courtesy of the Brian Tracy program I'm listening to. Number 7 is, develop a positive attitude. A positive attitude is simply the ability to remain positive and optimistic in the face of ups and downs. Now your attitude and your personality are largely determined by how you explain things to yourself. Stuff happens to all of us right? But it depends on how you explain it inside your own head. So if something happens and you explain it as, "I always have bad luck, that's the worst thing that's ever happened to me!" You're going to have a negative outlook. But if you explain it as, "Well, you know, this is a learning experience, maybe there was a reason for that, maybe I will be able to use this experience in the future, maybe there's a reason for this" whatever. But if you explain it to yourself in a positive way, you can put a positive spin on it, you can remain in a positive state. And employers, partners, customers, everybody wants to be around positive people. So developing and keeping a positive attitude is number 7 on how to improve your life and your career.

Hi this is Coach Trish with part 6 on how to improve your career,
It is your appearance! Now you can whine and complain all you want that we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, yada, yada, yada. But truth is, we do. And it doesn't make us horrible people, it's just that when you meet somebody, you've got to base your first impression on something so, it's their appearance and 95% of that, is your clothes, simply because 95% of your body is covered in clothes. So just take care, when you're getting dressed and you're going to out and do business; look at yourself in the mirror. Just take a moment and ask yourself, objectively, ask yourself, would I want to do business with this person? If the answer's not a definite yes, go back and fix it. You don't have to make a big deal out of it, just ask yourself, would I do business with this person? Somebody decides within the first 5 seconds whether or not they want to do business with you and they cement that decision within the next 30 seconds. And from then on, everything you say or do will be interpreted to confirm their first impression. First impressions are so important. So take the effort to make a good one. Also remember, you attract that which you are!
This is Coach Trish from TrishTalks.com and I would love to have a 30 minute complimentary consultation with you, so if you would like to do that request it on the contact me page. And always remember, YOU ARE POWERFUL!

How To Become Indispensable, Develop Excellent Work Habits, 5 of 10 on How to Increase Your Income

Hi this is Coach Trish,
Today's life tip is part 5 of my 10 part series of how to improve your career courtesy of a Brian Tracy program I'm listening to. Number 5 is work ethic. Develop good work habits, good work ethic. Become the hardest working person you know. But don't just work hard, be effective. Being efficient is working hard, being efficient is doing things right but being effective is doing the right thing. Constantly ask yourself, "What is the best use of my time right now?" If you can do that and develop a good work ethic, you will become indispensable. You'll be indispensable at any job, indispensable in any group that you're a member of, you'll be indispensable. Another way to look at it is how much supervision do you need? Only the top 10% of people can work without supervision. If you can work as though everyone were watching you when nobody is, you will not require any supervision. People who require supervision, require someone to be paid to supervise them and that pay is going to come out of the money that they would be making. So if you can work independently, without supervision, you make all the pay. And few people can do that, it's the top 10%. But frankly if you're reading this or watching this video, you are either in the top 10% or you are on your way to the top 10% because the bottom 90 won't take the time to do this, they won't take the time to improve themselves. The majority of the people are watching TV right now. If you would like a 30 complimentary consultation, sign up on my contact me page and request it there. And always remember YOU ARE POWERFUL!

Learn to Save Money, 4 in series of 10 on How to Increase Your Income

Hi this is Coach Trish,
My life tip for today is part 4 in my 10 part series, 10 ways to improve your career from Brian Tracy. Number 4 is money. You need money to make money right? You always hear that. But you know what you really need, is you need to learn to save money. Because money gives you freedom. What if the opportunity of a lifetime comes along and you don't have the money to take advantage of it? You need to learn to save money. And just start small. Save a little bit of money every day, every week, every month and as you save a little bit, you learn to save a little more and you learn to save a little more and pretty soon you might become addicted to having money in the bank! It's so important, we think about money giving us the freedom to do stuff, go where we want, things like that. But money also gives you the freedom to take advantage of opportunities when they come about. If there's something you really want to do, something to improve your career, a class a seminar, things like that, you have to have the money to do it. So start now, just save a little bit, I don't care if it''s a dollar a week, but start, and you're on your way! For a 30 minute complimentary consultation, go to my website and request it on the contact me page. And always remember, YOU ARE POWERFUL!

How to Network for Maximum Effect 3 in series of 10 on How to Increase Your Income

Hi this is Coach Trish,
Today's life tip is #3 in my 10 part series on how to improve your life and career from Brian Tracy. Number 3 is contacts. Always be networking, always be increasing your contacts. Because your success is going to be directly related to the number of people who know and like you. So ask people questions. Here's a great one, when networking, ask people, "What would I need to know about you and your business to recommend you to my friends?" Who is not going to want to answer that question? And they're going to like you right away because people love it when you're interested in them and you're interested in their business. And they're going to talk to you about their passion and they are going to be interesting to you. So it's not going to be hard. My friend Kent Georgi talks about friendships as being golden nuggets. Every time you meet someone and you do something kind, you're interested in them, you make a friend, that's a golden nugget. And you take those nuggets and you put them in a bag. And then later, when you have a project, when you need help, you need support, you have a bag of gold that you can reach into and you can pull out of! Someone to help you, to partner with you, to support you, there's all kinds of people in there. Always be networking, always be increasing your contacts. And it's easy to do by simply being interested in other people. For a 30 minute complimentary coaching session, go to my website and request it on the contact me page. And always remember, YOU ARE POWERFUL!
