If You Haven't Found What You're Looking For, Don't Stop Looking!

Hi this is Coach Trish,
If you haven't found what you're looking for, don't stop trying. About six years ago I was in finance. I was doing financial planning, selling life insurance and it wasn't completely fulfilling. It wasn't what I was looking for so I was searching.  I found a place called CEO Space and I originally went there looking for clients, but I went there searching. It was quite expensive to go and I didn't have the money at the time. So I was going through a process that they teach you on how to raise the money. And I remember my husband asking me, "why are you doing this? Why are you going through all this work to go to this thing? You have been to things like this before. You've been to things like this here locally that don't cost so much money. You know what it's going to be like, why are you doing this? What difference is it going to make?" And I thought about it and I thought what's the alternative? Give up? Quit trying? If I don't go, nothing changes. I don't know what the difference is going to be. But if I don't go, I do know that there will be no difference. So I raised the money and I went and I met Les Brown and I got out of finance and I got into coaching and speaking ,which is absolutely my path, absolutely my passion, I love it. It changed my life. It made a difference. You never know when that next time is going to be the last time. When that next time is going to be it. Don't give up, don't quit, keep at it until you find what you're looking for. Because if you just keep at it until you find what you're looking for, you will find what you're looking for. Most people don't succeed simply because they give up.

Are You Procrastinating? Here's an Idea on How to Get Started!

Hi this is Life Coach Trish,
My life tip for you today is, if you had your life to live over, do you think you could do more? Do you think you could do better? Probably, yes. Well I have good news for you, your life isn't over. So start right now, doing more and doing better. My friend Les Brown says, "You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great." So here's an idea for you; what is the least you could do? That thing that you've been wanting to do, that project you've been putting off, the thing you want to learn. Whatever it is you want to do, what is the least you could do? Do that! Write down the 3 smallest actions you could take to get you started and get started. Those actions will start to build momentum and you'll want to do more and it'll be easier. So there you go, get started.

Often we procrastinate because we don't know where to start. Start small!

You Are Either Wining or You Are Learning, there is no fail!

Hi this is Coach Trish,
My life tip for today is something I learned in my mastermind. You're either winning or you're learning. And that's the way we look at everything that doesn't go exactly as we had wanted it to right? A lot of times we tend to look at those things as failures. But not so. If you tried something, that was brave, that was courageous, that was stepping out there. That's not a failure no matter how it went. And if it didn't go the way you wanted it to go, you definitely learned something. Reminds me of when I was a kid, I had a pony, and it threw me off and ran over me. Well, that felt like a big failure at the time. I was hurt for a long time, I didn't get back on that pony for a month! But when I did, I was so much a better rider. I was more careful, I paid more attention, I held on a little tighter to the reigns, I just directed the horse a little bit better. It really did make me better, I was learning. So there you go. If something doesn't go exactly as you wanted, don't be upset, look for the lesson in it and how can you do better next time

Fear Will Disguise Itself as the Voice of Reason, Don't Be Fooled!

Hi this is Coach Trish,
Today at the Women's Wisdom meeting, which is an organization which I am a part of, Rhonda Britten came and spoke and she spoke on fear and she said some very interesting things. Beware when fear tries to trick you. Fear will try to trick you that it's the voice of reason or your intuition or the voice of spirit. And fear is just as smart as you, it's just as educated as you, it's just as spiritual as you are, it's tricky! So listen to the difference between the voice of fear and the voice of spirit, God, your intuition, that internal voice that you know is guiding you. The internal voice speaks about possibilities and gentle caution and the future. But fear speaks of the past. Fear speaks things like, "remember the last time you tried this? What if, you know, something happens like that?" Caution, or the voice of reason will say something more like, "Slow down, think about it, what do you think?" Fear is fast, the voice of your intuition is slow. So learn the difference, don't let fear trick you, learn the difference between the two. Take a deep breath, sit quietly for a moment and you'll be able to tell.

I learn, I do, I teach, I Mess Up, I Repeat . . . . I am Human

Hi, this is coach Trish and I am human.
Yes, I'm doing another human post. I was thinking the other day, there's that saying, "those who can't do, teach." I majored in psychology so that's just a whole big mess right? Those who can't do teach, so those who are really messed up become psychologists! I started thinking, actually its the opposite. What we teach is what we learn. Cause that's what we can teach best, right? We learn it, we teach it, we learn it better. I did Tae Kwon Do for many years and when I became a teacher, I learned the moves at so much a deeper level than I had known them before. Because I was trying to explain them to the students and I was teaching kids a lot of the time so I was trying to explain these moves to little kids. Give them the reasoning behind it and how you could put more force into the move. I had to understand it on a much deeper level. The same thing applies to my life and my teaching. One of the things I speak on and teach about is overcoming procrastination. Well, I haven't shot a video in 2 days because I procrastinated! So, it is always a work in progress. I am always working on it. I overcome it daily, sometimes I don't, but when I do that's when I teach. For a 30 minute complimentary coaching session, request it on the contact me page or just call me. And always remember YOU ARE POWERFUL!

Take Every Opportunity to Enjoy Yourself (with or without a Snake)!

This is coach Trish,
One of my Grandmother's favorite movies was Pride and Prejudice. There was a line in that movie that the mother says to one of the daughters and it's kind of a funny line because the daughter is completely irresponsible but the mother is waiving her goodbye and she says, "take every opportunity to enjoy yourself."  I love that line, even though she way saying it to exactly the daughter that didn't need to hear it! So I'm out here shooting videos and look what I found. Its a little snake. I kind of live out in the country, my husband calls me and he says, "hey you want to see a snake?" And I'm like, "cool, I should shoot a video with it." I'm going to name him Fred for the 5 minutes that I have him and then I'm going to let him go. He's a little baby Rosy Boa and I'm just going to enjoy him for a moment. So take every opportunity to enjoy yourself and strange things may appear! Hmmmm he's wiggling a lot, I think he really wants me to let him go but I don't quite want to let him go yet. He's very pretty. Snakes are very strong. So there you have it, a snake for you today and take every opportunity to enjoy yourself. I'm going to put Fred back up in the rocks on the mountain now. "Come on Fred, lets go."
Oh, I almost forgot, for a 30 minute complimentary consultation, request it on the contact me page or call. And always remember YOU ARE POWERFUL!
Fred and I are taking off, say goodbye.

How to Overcome Fear by Embracing the Unknown

3/16/2014

Hi this is Coach Trish,
I'm going to speak more about fear today because fear is one of my favorite topics. I truly believe, everything we don't do, that we want to do, every time we're held back, it's because of fear. If you can learn to overcome fear, I'm not gonna say master it, because it's a constant process, but if you can learn to overcome fear, you will live a freer, happier life. Another tip from Rhonda Britten, from yesterday, about how to distinguish the difference between fear and your intuition; fear speaks in terms of the past and in terms of the known. So fear speaks about things you know, "Remember the last time you did that? You know what happened!" Intuition, God, Spirit speaks in the unknown. The more comfortable you are moving into the unknown, the more open to possibilities you will be, the freer you will be of fear. That's another way that many people are, predict success. The measure of how successful someone will be, is how comfortable they are with the unknown. So try to become comfortable with the unknown and it's just practice. Overcoming fear is like a muscle, you move a little bit into the unknown, it's scary, you go anyway. Try something new, try some new thing, you overcome that fear and that muscle gets stronger. You overcome small fears, then you overcome medium fears and before you know it, you're overcoming big fears. So go out, try something new, hear that voice of fear but listen to your voice of intuition. The little voice inside, the voice of Spirit. You can tell the difference.

The Problem Is You Think You Shouldn't Have Any Problems!

Hi this is Coach Trish,
You know what your problem is? Your problem is you think you shouldn't have any problems! I heard that from Anthony Robbins the other day and I like that one. Because its true! Every time I get a problem, I get mad like, "why do I have this problem?" And then I thought about it . . . what am I expecting, not to have any problems? Little stuff too, you know there's little stuff and there's big stuff. One of the little things is I have been wanting to shoot videos outside for some time. The lighting is so much better. But my day times are very hectic. At night is when it's best for me because the house is very quiet and the kids are in bed. But my house is very dark and I get these very dark videos. So today I decided I'm going to go outside, and now it's windy and there goes the wind chime! Anyway,  I decided to go come outside and shoot some videos outside. And guess what? It's trash day! So I'm trying to shoot my videos and the trash truck is backing up, "beep, beep, beep" and then the recycling containers are super noisy, I hear the glass shattering as they dump the recycling containers in. So I turn the video off, wait for the trash to finish. I come back out and then guess what? I realize that my house is apparently in the flight path of some airport, I think its Gillespie Field is over there. And so there's airplanes going back and forth and helicopters, go figure! I live in a quiet house on the outskirts of town, you would think it would be very quiet out here. Not at all! Wind chimes, helicopters, trash trucks! I'm surprised I got through this video. So anyway, when the little things come up in life, just deal with them with a little sense of humor and move on. And when the big things come up, get help. Join a team, get a coach, bring on some friends, life is a team sport and you can move through the bigger things with your team. For a 30 minute complimentary consultation, go to my website and ask for it on the contact me page. And always remember, YOU ARE POWERFUL!

Ask For Help, Life Is A Team Sport!

3/13/2014

Hi this is Coach Trish,
My life tip for you today is, ask for and accept help. Now we hear that all the time, but the truth is, most of us hate to ask for help. But think about it, do you mind helping the people you care about? Do you mind helping your business partners? Do you mind helping people that are working on a project with you? No, and they don't mind helping you either! If you continue to refuse to ask for help, you're going to be very limited in the size of the endeavors you're going to be able to complete. When I put on my event LIFE 2013 last year, I got to a point, where I had been trying to do it all myself and all of a sudden I realized, I was trying to do something bigger than that! I was trying to do something bigger than my influence, bigger than my contacts, bigger than my reach, bigger than my abilities. And I was forced to ask for help. My friend Patrick Carney says, "Life is a team sport." Once I was forced to ask for help I realized I should have asked for help a long time ago. People were willing to help me. There were people who were willing to work on this project with me and you know what? Now I'm working on their projects with them. It's a win-win. They had my back, now I have their back. There's people that you've helped in the past who would love to help you in return. I am loving helping the people in return who helped me with that project. It was so important to me and I so needed their help and I am so ready to help them now. So there's people in your life who want to help you and there's people in your life who you want to help. So ask for and receive help, and then give help in return. Life is a team sport.
