Tania, Antonio, Trish & Dante
I was born in Mexico but grew up in San Diego, CA, where I still live with my husband of 24 years, Antonio and our two kids, Tania and Dante. I wandered through life for many years trying to find my place. Always knowing helping people was my passion, I majored in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego. While attending UCSD I decided to take on my past! I worked aggressively to learn about, deal with and overcome the damage inflicted on me by my past.
Upon having some success, I immediately wanted to share it with others. So I worked as a peer counselor at the Women’s Resource Center on campus, as well as being a student co-facilitator for several support groups run through the UCSD Psychological Services Department.
My first job out of college was working as a Counselor/Child Care Worker in a group home setting for abused teenage girls who were wards of the court. I loved it but soon discovered I could not survive on what that job paid! Also, I wanted to work with people who really wanted to work on themselves, as I had done. I tried out several administrative positions as well as sales but always felt something was missing. I later became a Financial Advisor and thought I had found my home. I was helping and counseling people again! However, after almost 10 years as an Advisor I knew I was not helping people on the level I wanted to.

Trish and Les Brown
About that time I met World Renowned Motivational Speaker Les Brown and learned about his speaker training programs. Immediately I knew I had found where I belonged! My first 15 minute meeting with Mr. Brown changed my life. Shortly thereafter I quit my job to dedicate myself to speaking, writing and coaching full time. I was home at last!
I now work closely with Les Brown on an ongoing basis to continue to develop myself as a speaker. As well as speaking at events in Southern California, I have had the honor of filling in for Mr. Brown on his Nationwide Motivational Monday call.
With my newest product, "Take Back Your Power" my goal is to help people everywhere overcome trauma and live powerful lives!
